MY STORY
What It Means to be a Filmmaker (To Me)
As I went through high school taking as many subjects as possible, I didn't find a single one that I could envision making a career out of. I was always fascinated by the power of editing as a medium of storytelling, which could transform a mess of random footage into one comprehensive video. In an interview asking Your Name director Makoto Shinkai how he knew he was a filmmaker, he responded along the lines of needing to put your story out there. And yes, that is exactly what I want to do. As a current Film & Television student at Boston University, I hope to expand my knowledge of what makes storytelling come to life through collaboration, learning, and the creative process.
